Crunches is the term we used to refer to the exercise made for the purpose of shaping the abdominal abdominal muscles. The correct way to start this exercise is to lie down on a mat on the floor. It would be better if you will keep your arms across the chest. You may also keep them behind your head or with your fingers behind your ears. However,the first position is suited for this exercise. Take a deep breath. Inhale through your nose. At this point of time, don’t open your mouth then lift your shoulders, till your knees using only your abdominal muscles. Don’t raise the entire back for it might cause strain. Exhale through your mouth as you raise your shoulders. Lower back your shoulders on the floor.
Sit ups also help one to achieve six pack abs. It is also performed while lying down on a mat. Keep your feet flat and your knee bent. Place your arms on your chest. Inhale while you are raising your entire back towards your knees. And go back to the same position where you start.
